Utah Board of Education Member Natalie Cline is no stranger to controversy. Having already been investigated for her behavior three times and reprimanded by the Utah Board of Education, Cline was in the news again this week for cyberbullying a child. Instead of apologizing for her actions, she doubled down and admitted to personally invading the privacy of a minor.
Her actions are abhorrent and unbecoming of an elected official. They should also be disqualifying for her to serve in public office. That's why Better Utah and those who have signed below are urging the legislature to take action and remove Natalie Cline from her position on the Utah Board of Education.
Natalie Cline has been given every opportunity to resign, and it is becoming clear that she refuses to do so. Her actions are putting the health, safety, and well-being of students at risk and she must be removed from her position immediately.
Governor Spencer Cox has called her behavior "unconscionable" and that she "...has embarrassed the State of Utah." Enough is enough. Our state and our children deserve better. Please take action to remove Natalie Cline from the Utah Board of Education as soon as possible.
