We are calling upon Senator Lee to resign from office for his cruel and divisive actions after the murder of MN Representative Hortman and her spouse, as well as the attack on Senator Hoffman and his spouse.

Every day he holds office is a stain on our state.

Dear Senator Lee,

I am appalled by your behavior after the murder of MN Representative Hortman and her spouse, as well as the attack on Senator Hoffman and his spouse.

It shouldn’t have to be said that the loss of life is always a tragedy, and should be respected. No one should have to plan the burial of loved ones while a political rival is using their platform to say that murder is something that should be celebrated or made light of simply because they work across the aisle.

You attempted to dehumanize them and fan the flames of the political divisiveness. It is an abomination to use such a tragedy in that way.
